AMONG A MIDNIGHT WIND

Author: Blake Westman

As we follow along with a midnight wind,
The stars in the sky light us within
Your laugh making my heart race;
Your face, beautiful as the finest lace

As we walk along with a midnight wind,
We seem as carefree as young kittens
Relishing in all the wonders of the world;
My thoughts all caught and swirled

As we stand among the midnight wind,
Your hair soft as silk in my hand
Your lips almost too soft to kiss;
That sweetness of your mouth I miss

As we kiss among a midnight wind,
The moon lights your beautiful, white face
Your smile heating my heart;
Your love piercing it like a dart

As we make among a midnight wind,
Our clothes lay scattered amongst the grass
The elements combine with our hot sweat;
Over your breasts all hot and wet

As we stroll with the midnight wind,
Our fingers are locked tight together
Your head upon my shoulder;
The long put out fire begins to smother

As we stroll with a midnight wind,
I realize why it is that I live
You hold my heart in your hand;
You will for my whole life span.
