At A Movie Show
Author: Joyce Hemsley
Leaving the razzmatazz behind,
he took my hand, with manner so kind,
we would listen to music of fairer style
songs to enchant, words to beguile.
But rains came down on our act of grace,
hopelessly lost in a stern-looking place,
until he suggested a movie show,
his invite so sweet, set my heart aglow.
To pose a question, where would we go?
at the Focus Cinema, Romance was on show.
To pose a question - how could we know
that we would find love at a movie show.
