CLANDESTINE
Author: Stephen De Leon
We hardly shared a glance,
Or get to know each other;
Yet, as if by chance
We met and laughed together.
Friendship started to form,
As feelings suddenly grew
Thinking about you dusk and morn
A hushed voice says, "I love you."
Words I dare not say,
Feelings I kept at bay,
Afraid for love to slip away
Still it did, much to my dismay.
You've made my days worth waking up,
And my nights worth dreaming of,
Thoughts that occupy my mind,
While I wish someday you'll be mine.
When will you know this feeling I hide?
When would you feel this feeling inside?
Where Should I begin?
When my love is clandestine.
