HEART OF SAND

You are the one that made me strong
Who helped my heart to move along
My tears would stream in a burning pain 
then in the wind I would turn 
and whisper your name

You were an angel sent from above
you gave me a heart 
and taught my soul how to love
The blood from my tears I hold out to you
so you can turn them to diamonds 
the way that you do

I sit here and wish 
that my life could be sane
but then I am here 
and I dont know your name
I thank you for your kindness 
with all of my heart
but I am afraid that 
I shall still fall apart

You gave me your love 
and I shall cherish it so
But Im sorry to hear 
that you may have to go
My tears no longer fall from my eyes
I do not need to ask for this I know why

You are leaving me now 
with my blood on your hands
for my heart is now missing 
and my chest filled with sand
For it was my heart 
that you had always meant to steal
you may have it now because 
it truly never was real

So I sit on the beach 
with my eyes to the sand 
hoping to find my heart 
has fallen out of your hand.
