HOW BEAUTIFUL

The trees were green, sun shining bright, flowers in bloom,
We were about to get married, real, real soon.

The florist, photographers, videographer,
and justice of the peace have all arrived,
In just a few moments you'd be right by my side.

An illuminescent runway with roses on the ground,
There were so many people, but yet I couldn't hear a sound.

Had my eyes fixed at the doorway waiting for your arrival,
The ushers dressed to kill, bridesmaids made up by Davids Bridal.

I see you walking down the white runner with your father and your mother,
I've never seen you look more beautiful, all the air did smother.

Felt as if I couldn't breathe and my hands were shaking,
Right before us- our lives for the taking.

Before I realized that the guests took there seats
and the officient began to speak,
Not one, but two tears rolled down onto my cheek.

A lot of people think that they are happily in love
with a stranger or acquaintance,
Later on in life, they find their relationship needs much maintenance.

We are a great team, lovers, and youre my best friend,
We will spend the rest of our lives together- that I know will never end.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever get to marry you,
There's a way about you, how you always pick me up when Im down, out, and
blue.

I can easily compare your beauty to a rose, tropical island, or sunset,
It's been a long haul, but thank God we finally met.

We have the rest of our lives now to live out our wishes and dreams,
As long as were together, they will definitely be seen.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," as most people would say,
I've never seen you look more beautiful than that day in May.
