I'll Be There
Author: Marshall Morden
Your tears cannot be counted, Your pain cannot be measured
You've lost something precious that you had always treasured
The emptiness inside you seems to much to bear
You wonder if you will ever find someone who will care.
The mirror is your enemy, your foe is the reflection
You no longer recognize your beauty and perfection
You try your best to hide the pain behind tall stone walls
But when the hurt becomes to much that structure quickly falls
It becomes obvious that your happiness is fading
And those that care about you see that inside you are aching.
Dry your tears, stand up tall and open up your eyes
Have the courage to use them and see through all the lies
The lies that you have told yourself because of all your pain
That caused your tears to fall just like the autumn rain.
I will not pretend to comprehend the hurt that you are feeling
I only pray you'll see the truth and soon begin your healing
Your beauty is unequalled your laugher a precious gem
And no amount of cruelty could ever strip you of them
When I look into your eyes I see vast oceans of despair
But know I'll always love you, just know that I'll be there.
