JUST LIKE A WEDDING IN MAY
Author: Joyce Hemsley & Kit Kat
Hello my friend
Here we are once again
With our paper and pen
Writing words from within.
From one tender hear
That's where it all starts
Deep down inside
Buried with our pride.
What am I supposed to do
When I want to talk to you?
For I am so in love with you
I always thought you knew.
Pride is an unpleasant thing
Pride kills the love within
When I think you are untrue
I cannot converse with you.
And why can't you say
You love me today?
Until I am sure that you do
I can't say the words
"I love You."
So here we are once again
With writing paper and pen
We must shun the pride within
And I'll be the first to begin:
I will start by saying "I love you.
I love you my darling...
I love you today and every day
Just like a wedding in May
And that is how my love will stay.
