LOVE FOR A LIFETIME

Author: Joyce Hemsley

Silver and gold I would give
As long as I live, to have you near.
The light would flicker; moonshine grow dim
If your loving kiss was insincere.

For you'll never know how I need you so,
A River of Jordan would flow if you go..
And that is how I would cry
If ever you told me "goodbye".

Sweet memories are stored in my mind,
Memories too beautiful to fade,
And I hope and pray, night and day
To see you smile in your loving way.

No other smile has captured my heart,
Your smile was there from the start,
And silver and gold I would give,
To have your love for as long as I live.
