RETURN MY HEART

Author: Kay Elaine Ekwall

Oh most vile of assasins,
You've waylaid my heart.
In that deep cavity, where lay
a vibrant, pumping thing,
now is empty, barren,
torn out by your inhuman hand.
Like a thief in the night,
you cruelly came into my life,
tentacles reaching, steadily
taking all you found there.
Cruel fate has brought us
together, to this end may I
only rest, Oh obnoxious wretch..
Return me my heart.
