Tender And Sweet
Author: D. Craig
Love so tender so sweet that heavens could not compare
that my eyes could not see magnitude of heart so fair
justice has no soul when temptation crawls
but pensive ways justify temptation's down falls.
Promises are untrusted but moments lust is undeniable
with fire to fuel and burn its passion unreliable
and yet you beckon me so very well
to make my heart grow and swell.
Then knowledge brings light
to heart and mind's frightful fight
we live in a world of terrible surprise
that hearts shock can become cries.
Let me scream and howl of the days that have gone by
that my tears have caused this love so tender and sweet to die.
