The Best Dream

Your beauty runs so deep 
I begin to dream without even falling asleep. 
Every time I see you this feeling sets in
it starts from within and cause the room to spin.

The world changes when you are near me 
because you are all I wish to see. 
I am amazed by the greatness you achieve
my words are lost and my air seems to leave.

My mind races when your face is shown
even in a crowded room it feels like 
I am standing alone, it is too much too much 
to handle and  I am thrown.

My thoughts are shattered
I can't concentrate, nothing else matters. 
The power of your beauty easily consumes
a single glance and I am easily doomed.
  
You've got the power of cupid's arrow
one look at you and into the dream I go.  
But I wouldn't have it any other way
than being able to dream during the day.  
 
I can't complain because it is the best state of mind
a creation only possible with the stars aligned.  
This dream never lasts long enough
but it is enough to make life a little less rough. 

Even though I would love this dream to stay
it has to end the moment you walk away. 
I open my eyes hoping that one wish has became:
to make the earth and my dreams the same.

But it seems I must wait for the moment when
you reappear and the dream to play again. 
I could dream at night it is true
but the best ones come when I am standing by you.
