THE SECRET

This secret tonight to thee I tell
Because it does my heart compel
To tell to you  what in my heart is hidden
And for my life in words could not be written

But if my life it must take
I cannot this task forsake 
Or else this secret  be forever lost
I must deliver it at any cost

Forgive me if the words I write
Are very simple and some what trite
But my heart by now is working hard 
To keep from pounding my chest apart

With sweat and toil this message I have tried to show
All though it may not have always seemed so
Each moment was devoted to completing the mission
Often I failed with terrible repetition

I hope that when I release these words
That you will take them and in your heart you'll keep
So when these words I finish addressing
Together  we can share this wonderful blessing
