With Sad Music By Mozart

Author: Joyce Hemsley

How sad is my heart, now we're apart,
I suspected fond feelings were dying.
True love was all, in spring, summer and fall.
We were happy, there's no denying.

Dark winter scene, I see on my screen,
Come Back to Sorrento is playing,
My life's in despair, with no-one to care.
I break down in tears whilst, I'm praying.

Our love could be more, than ever before
If pride tipped the scales at point zero
And we stepped out again, down Lovers Lane.
I would gamble on your being my hero!

Adios broke my heart, sad music by Mozart,
as the way back to heaven was calling.
Love can grow old, but I have been told,
it can blossom again without warning.

The waiting game pays; I count the days
Wishing my dreams would come true.
The message is clear, love lingers my dear,
and one day we'll find happiness anew.
